Goldendoodles are the result of mating a Golden Retriever with a standard sized Poodle.
Goldendoodles are highly intelligent and one of their first uses was as guide dogs for blind people with allergies. Their light shedding coat produces low dander (the fluff that falls off most dogs’ coats that can cause allergic reactions), so they are much less likely to cause allergic reactions.
